![]() AI Lifestyle ResourcesRichard Bixler Summary: Resources for adopting AI into your lifestyle. Published simultaneously on svprojectmanagement. Resources: IntroductionAdopting AI into your lifestyle will expand - or explode! - what it meant to adopt the Web into your lifestyle. The breadth of Web adoption was not envisioned in any detail until killer-apps addressed existing daily needs of the public and of businesses. As that became prevalent, newly-imagined applications created new needs crossing all aspects of the whole population. How do we use the Web today... Online commerce, buyers and sellers. Social media, mobile smartphones, email, messaging. Dating. Online map navigation, self-driving vehicles. B2B business interactions. Conferencing. Information reference, education. Entertainment - streaming, gaming. Banking, Trading, Crypto currency. Healthcare, Government services, taxes, benefits. How did all that happen? Internet and Web spread like fire through corporate and personal use. Personal use, for home and mobile social connectivity, and consumer-to-business. Corporate use, as data centers led to server farms for massive computation and database supporting online, always-active, worldwide, business-to-consumer and business-to-business. These were facilitated by a magic conjunction of Means, Opportunity, and Motive. Means: Moore's Law for MIPS, cost, and interconnect bandwidth. Opportunity: Web protocols driving content-based killer apps with appeal to huge and expanding use among worldwide populace. Motivation: Monetization of the huge user base. AI is based on all the same means, opportunity and motivation as for the Web. AI explodes those capabilities with intelligent, interactive, dynamic content, both virtual and physical, based on underlying intelligence in technology implementation. We haven't seen the real killer apps yet but they're coming... Think of how you already use the Web. Adoption of AI into your lifestyle will mean that your first interactions on most things will be through AI: at first, directly through AI tools; later through ubiquitous applications and other means embedding AI. Expanding on all the capabilities of the web, beyond connection, and exploding dynamic intelligent content. Some of this will become self-teaching via intuitive interfaces and applications. That will take some time to emerge ubiquitously. Everyone will invest in development, but winners will emerge with greatest reach and depth. As that emerges, getting involved with AI now will give you advantages as the rest of the world moves more slowly than you. You could gain direct tactical advantage, but also ability to spot winners and losers early for continuous and longer-term advantage and leadership. No doubt there are many ways to get involved. One that I've noticed is the numerous contributions on LinkedIn. In this article I've taken some that I think will be useful, linked them and organized them by topic. So poke around, try some of the links, maybe take a course, many are free. Look here, or on the LinkedIn site where there's new stuff every day. See if there's something that interests you. Nothing helps you learn a topic like having a problem you want to solve!
